Rare set of three globes and armillary sphere from Delamarche Paris

An extremely rare set of three globes by Delamarche Paris :

- The celestial globe is signed « A Paris chez le Sieur Delamarche géo Rue du Foin St jacques au Collège de Me Gervais » then 1788/1790.

- The armillary sphere is of the Ptolemais type – the earth with the following in cartouche « Globe Terrestre Chez Delamarche géog rue du Foin Jacques au collège de Me Gervais » then 1788/90.

- The terrestrial globe is decorated with two cartouches : « à Paris chez l’Auteur – rue du Jardinet N°13  1er Quartier Saint André des Arcs » and « Globe Dressé d’après les découvertes les plus nouvelles Par C.F. Delamarche Successeur de Robert de Vaugondy Géogr. 1824 ».

Same black tinted wood stands and same engraved cardboard polar hour rings with arrow pointer.

The bases of the stand bases, originally made in ordinary pinewood, have been replaced later due to decrepitude.

Dimensions : 45 cm high x table height 30 cm.

In mint condition.

NB. : Knowing that Charles Antoine Delamarche passed away in 1804, we can deduct that this set left Félix Delamarche workshop in 1824 having incorporated in the lot the celestial and the armillary sphere kept unsold in the workshop, as it was often the case for these last two categories for which there was less demand.

Paris 1788/1824.
