Painted wooden hourglass composed of two hexagonal bases resting on six ball-shaped feet connected by six straight columns carved in the shape of a rope, all painted in red and green.

Inside there is a vial made of two clear bubble glass ampoules resting on two green painted wooden rings. These two ampoules are joined together by wax covered with black waxed paper and a waxed cord.

A polychrome silica sand inside.

Dimensions: height of 34.7 cm x diameter of 12.8 cm.

Italy first half of the XVIIth century.
