Silver and ivory perpetual calendar made in Germany dated 1697

The front has a gilt silver disc with two windows: one for the length of the day and the other for the length of the night.

The window for the length of the day has four graduations: the Zodiac, the months, the length of the day and the time of sunrise.

The window for the length of the night has two graduations: the length of the night and the time of sunset.

This disc rests on a rectangular silver plate with floral decoration and the date "1697" on the disc.

On the back is a disc corresponding to the perpetual calendar with the days of the week. This disc is cut out to show the date of the day of the week (graduated from 1 to 31).

It rests on a silver plate with the same floral decoration as the face.

There are six ivory leaves inside.
