An ivory and silver pipe made by Tiffany New York in 1890, a gift from Richard Everard Webster (1st Viscount Alverstone, British politician and lawyer) to Jacob M. Gordin, a Russian Jewish lawyer living in America.
The silver bowl decorated with acanthus leaves closes with an openwork lid held by a silver chain linked to the mouthpiece of the pipe.
The pipe is engraved with the inscription: "REA to JUG".
The twisted ivory stem ends in a silver mouthpiece entirely carved with acanthus leaves and an ivory mouthpiece.
