Porcelain pipe enhanced with gold and a medallion probably representing Willem Frederick Karel Bischoff van Heemskerck.

Lid in gadrooned brass with traces of gilding. Rectangular stem in brown horn inlaid with mother-of-pearl pastilles and steel buttons.

Between the pipe and the mouthpiece, a gadrooned ivory plate.

A green cord with two tassels connects the bowl.

Note: Willem Frederik Karel Bischoff van Heemskerck was Commander of the Order of Oranje-Nassau and the Order of Orange and the holder of numerous Dutch and foreign honours, including the Grand Cross of the Order of Isabel the Catholic of Spain. He was an Honorary Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order of the United Kingdom and a Warrant Officer in the Special Service of Her Majesty the Queen. He also held the Croix commemorative de la Resistance. On the Queen's birthday on 31 August 1912, he was awarded a knighthood in the Order of the Dutch Lion.
